Before installing the polycarbonate PC sheet, the in and out frame should be cleaned, because the metal material will contain metal elbow oil or pickling liquid and other chemicals before leaving the factory. These chemical residues will cause certain damage to the board.

When installing and fixing the polycarbonate PC sheet, it is necessary to reserve a corresponding expansion space for the sheet, because the PC sheet will be affected by thermal expansion and contraction outdoors, and corresponding expansion changes will also occur. Expansion reserved space calculation method: linear expansion coefficient x plate length x maximum temperature difference before and after installation, the linear expansion coefficient takes a fixed value of 0.065mm\M, if no suitable expansion space is reserved, the plate may expand because there is no corresponding space It will produce stress squeeze, or produce displacement, which will damage the plate.


When installing the polycarbonate PC sheet, PVC gaskets cannot be used, because the plasticizer in the PVC gasket and the chemicals contained in some chemical gaskets will migrate to the surface of the gasket and directly contact the PC sheet, which will damage the PC sheet. However, the gasket material can be EPDM rubber. If you can't find a suitable gasket, you would rather not use PVC gaskets.

When installing and sealing the polycarbonate PC sheet, use neutral silicone series sealant, rubber layering, and double-sided waterproof adhesive. The saw blade used for cutting the polycarbonate PC board is preferably a saw blade made of carbonized dock. The board should be fixed during cutting to prevent excessive vibration.

Polycarbonate PC sheet is very easy to scratch, so do not tear off the protective film completely during storage, handling, and cutting. In addition, it is best to use crayons for marking pens on the board during cutting to avoid direct contact with the board by sharp objects.

The polycarbonate PC board is strictly prohibited to directly contact with the wet cement, and the alkaline substance in the cement damages the board. When the polycarbonate PC sheet is used in bending, its construction radius should be greater than the allowable radius of curvature. The calculation method of the allowable curvature is: When the PC sheet is used outdoors, the allowable curvature calculation method: (R) More than 180 times the thickness of the board For example, a 4mm-meter-thick PC board is used for outdoor bending, and its allowable curvature is: 4x180=720mm, so the radius of curvature (R) for outdoor design should be at least 72cm or more.

When the PC sheet is used indoors, the allowable curvature calculation method: (R) More than 150 times the thickness of the board, such as: 4mm thick PC sheet for indoor bending, its allowable curvature: 4x150=600mm, so the curvature of the interior design The radius (R) must be at least 60cm or more.


When the PC sheet is used in bending, if the minimum bending radius of the PC sheet is not reached, the extrusion stress of the sheet during bending will be uneven or the compression stress will increase, which will affect the normal service life of the sheet, which is likely to cause The plate breaks due to increased local stress.

When cleaning the polycarbonate PC sheet: When there is dust and dirt on the surface of the PC, first wipe it with a soft cloth and sponge moistened with a neutral detergent, and then rinse with water. Finally, wipe dry with a soft cloth. When using solvents to clean the boards, solvents containing toluene, gasoline, carbon tetrachloride, acetone and other ingredients will damage the boards and must not be used. Alcohols such as alcohol, isopropanol, etc. can be used.

When the polycarbonate PC sheet is fastened with screws: the spacing of the screws can be adjusted appropriately according to the thickness of the sheet. If the spacing of the screws is too dense, the stress of the sheet may increase and the sheet will be damaged. Too sparse screw spacing may cause unstable plate fixation. According to common specifications, the screw spacing is summarized: for plate thickness below 3mm, the screw fixing spacing is about 10-20cm, for plate thickness above 3mm, the screw fixing spacing is about 20-30cm, if fixed with a bead, the screw fixing spacing is about For 20-30cm, if you use self-tapping screws to directly fix the PC board, the greater the spacing, the less the board will be damaged due to stress. The hole of the screw should take into account the thermal expansion and contraction of the plate. The hole diameter of the screw is larger than the direct screw, about 2mm-4mm. The position of the screw hole must not be too close to the edge of the board, which can easily cause the plate to break. Generally speaking, the position of the screw hole from the edge of the board is more than 2.5 times the diameter of the screw.
